CF Processing Soybean Processing Facility This facility is an 800-ton-per-day soybean processing facility built for CF Processing, L.L.C. (a division of Crestland Cooperative), in south central Iowa. The facility includes the site development, transfer from existing storage, preparation building, extraction building, oil storage, meal/hull finishing, meal/hull storage, loadout, and support facilities.

Fieldale Feed Mill This feed mill for Fieldale Farms features 36,000-bushel-per-hour corn receiving; 300-ton-per-hour ingredient receiving; 150-ton-per-hour grinding system through three identical hammermills in a separate grinder room; 36 ingredient bins with 4,700 tons of storage; a 10-ton batching and mixing system, including two 12-bin micro systems; and three liquid scaling systems. Additional features to the feed mill include 600,000 bushels of grain storage in six silos and two interstice bins, an extensive tank farm for ten liquids, two 50 hp air compressors, and one 400 hp fuel-fired boiler with two 200 hp electric boilers. One 6,000-pound freight lift is used to raise micro ingredients to the work floor and also access from the ground floor to the roof. Extensive site work related to earthwork, railroad track, subgrade, paving, water, and natural gas and sewer were also completed on this project, along with permitting for building and environmental issues.

Wayne Farms Poultry Feed Mill Twenty-one different bins provide 2,340 tons of ingredient storage. Loadout capacity is 1,000 tons; and six 31-foot-diameter, cone-hoppered silos provide 362,000 bushels of whole grain storage. Two pellet lines were installed with room for a third. The pellet mill supply bins add another 300 tons of storage to the mill capacity. Room for future expanders was included in the mill layout.

American Italian Pasta Company Younglove acted as the design-build general contractor for AIPC’s second satellite plant built at Kenosha, Wisconsin. The 122,000-square-foot facility includes a semolina transfer system, semolina storage, pasta press room, packaging room, and warehousing. Other areas of the plant include production support rooms, control room, MCC rooms, boiler room, maintenance shop, trash disposal, offices, and employee welfare areas.
